Children, birth to six, who have a Provider One Card with Medicaid (Apple Health) are eligible for the following yearly benefits
- 3 fluoride varnish applications
- 2 dental exams
- Fixing damaged teeth as needed

Sedation Options for Dental Procedures
Oral Sedatives: These are pills swallowed by the child to make them drowsy.

Nitrous Oxide: Also known as “happy gas” is inhaled by the child to make the child drowsy.

General Anesthesia: An Anesthesiologist will be present with the child throughout the dental procedure to provide medication to keep the child fully unconscious.

Your local ABCD Coordinator from Whitman County Public Health can help you:

- Work with the dental office to ensure you have interpreter services.

- Provide no-cost dental supplies. Available for pick up at WCPH's Pullman & Colfax offices.

We would like to thank Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD) for their support in promoting dental health for children from low-income families in Whitman County.
ABCD is a public-private partnership managed by the Arcora Foundation. Dentists participating in the ABCD program are trained and certified to care for young children. Certified dentists receive enhanced fees for certain procedures and support to participate in and bill Apple Health.
