Mobile Unit Permitting

To apply for a Mobile Unit Permit, please complete the Mobile Unit Application. Mobile Unit Permits are valid from February 1st to January 31st each year and must be renewed annually.

Mobile units are categorized as “Simple” or “Complex.” A completed Mobile Unit Application allows our Inspectors to determine which category a specific mobile unit falls under. For more information, view our Food Establishment Definitions.

All mobile units in Washington are required to have Washington Department of Labor and Industries approval and insignia. This must be completed before a Mobile Unit Permit can be issued. A copy of your approval or a photo of the insignia applied to the unit must be provided with your Mobile Unit Application. For more information, please visit LNI’s website here.
