Approved Kitchens

Approved Kitchens, sometimes called “commissaries,” are approved food establishments where food is stored, prepared, portioned, or packaged for service elsewhere. Temporary Food Establishments, mobile units, and caterers must perform all advanced food preparation in an Approved Kitchen.

Approved Kitchen Permitting

To become an Approved Kitchen, please complete the Approved Kitchen Application. A list of equipment and physical facilities requirements can be found on the application. Approved Kitchen Permits are valid from February 1st to January 31st each year and must be renewed annually.
