Community Health Educator
The Community Health Educator carries out a variety of health service duties, including but not limited to: coordinating activities and programs; meeting state requirements for reporting and follow-up of notifiable conditions; and initiating direct client and partner contact to reach public health goals. The position will also be critical regarding: the function of clinical services; health prevention/education activities; disease investigations and surveillance activities.
Minimum Experience, Education, and Training
- Minimum one year’s experience in a clinical setting
- BLS Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field; OR Associate of Arts Degree
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License
Preferred Experience, Education and Training
- Two to three years health education and services experience
- Current MA certification in the state of Washington
- Experience with vaccinations and/or case investigations
