Dear Whitman

This is our way of saying we hear you, we see you, and we’re working alongside you. Every campaign here was shaped by the voices of our residents and built from the needs you identified. Together, we’re growing a thriving community.

What You Told Us

About the Community Health Needs Assessment

Dear Whitman,
In 2022, you welcomed us into your experiences and shared openly about the realities of life here. Through the Community Health Needs Assessment, you helped us understand what’s strong, what’s missing, and what our community needs to thrive. Together, you identified three priorities that matter most: mental and behavioral health, standard of living, and preventative care.

Mental & Behavioral Health

You shared that many in our community are carrying more than others may see. These resources were created to bring care closer to you, offering support in the moments that feel heavy and reminding you that this community walks with you.

Standard Of Living

You showed us that daily needs deeply impact daily well-being. These resources were built to meet you where you are and help lighten the load of everyday life.

Preventative Care

You told us that preventative care hasn’t always felt easy to access. These resources were created to help bridge that gap and support your long-term health.

What We’re Building Together

Thrive Locally

Thrive Locally is Whitman County’s community-driven health initiative, shaped directly by the needs you shared in the Community Health Needs Assessment. It supports the whole picture of wellbeing: mental and behavioral health, everyday living, and preventative care, by encouraging small, meaningful steps that fit into real life.

Mental & Behavioral Health

Your Mental & Emotional Health Matters

Dear Whitman,
You shared openly about the weight so many are carrying; stress that keeps you up at night, seasons of isolation, and challenges no one should have to face alone. Through the CHNA, it became clear that mental and emotional well-being is one of our county’s most urgent needs.

The campaigns here were created for you. To remind you that support exists, that your feelings matter, and that reaching out is an act of courage. No one in Whitman County should have to walk their road alone.

Standard of Living

Your Daily Needs Shape Your Health

Dear Whitman,
You helped us understand how much everyday essentials shape our health: stable housing, reliable transportation, access to food, childcare, and financial security. The CHNA showed us just how many families are working hard yet still need a bit more support to thrive.

These initiatives honor that reality. They’re built to strengthen the foundation every resident deserves, so that wellbeing isn’t a privilege here, it’s a shared starting point.

Preventative Care

Your Health Tomorrow Starts with Care Today

Dear Whitman,
You told us that staying up to date on routine care isn’t always easy. Screenings can feel out of reach, appointments fill fast, and navigating the healthcare system can be overwhelming. The CHNA confirmed what you already knew: access matters.

This space was created to help close those gaps, offering tools, reminders, and support that make long-term health more practical, more accessible, and more aligned with real life here in Whitman County.
